Mr. Lundgren has been a financial counselor since 1999, focusing on College Planning/Funding since 2001. He has educated thousands of parents and their college-bound students throughout Southern California.

We provide personalized and web-based College Admissions and Funding Counseling for both the Student and the Parent.

We focus exclusively on the interrelations of College Admissions and Funding and have been members of both the National Association of College Admissions Counselors and the California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators since 2004.

We will guide you through our "Career to Major to College" program. Students will be mentored through the College Search, Evaluation, and Selection process, our Career and Major Course of Study Assessments, use those results to identify qualified colleges to apply to, and we will assist with the accurate and timely completion of the College Admissions Applications, and government and college FAFSA, CSS/Profile & Institutional financial aid applications, evaluate initial College Award Offers and appeal them when appropriate.

Locally, he was a panel member and presenter on College Financial Assistance at the Poway and Scripps Ranch High School’s College Expo & the Poway Union School District’s College Expo.

He has been a member of the California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (CAFSAA) since 2004, and receives U.S. Department of Education, Federal Student Aid Commission, California Student Aid Commission, and College Board continuing education through national, regional, and local training conferences.

From 2004 to 2010, he was a Financial Aid Consultant presenting for the Los Angeles Unified School District’s (LAUSD) Annual Cash4College community education program. In the fall, he presented the College Admissions and Financial Aid curriculum, and in the winter, he explained the FAFSA completion and submission process. Subjects included Financial Aid 101, Completing the FAFSA, and Cal Grants.

Jim has been a multi-year member of LAUSD’s Annual "Cash 4 College Ask the Experts” panel.

Mr. Lundgren has been a College Counselor in the Counseling Center at the NACAC Annual National College Fair at the San Diego Convention Center.

Since 2009, Jim has been contracted by the Southern California College Access Network and the Los Angeles Educational Partnership to provide both Train the Trainer instruction for teachers and counselors, and at-risk student-direct instructional presentations on the FAFSA, Cal Grant, “Financial Aid 101,” AB540, Dream Act, & Financial Literacy processes. He became a member of the SoCalCAN Steering Committee in 2011. He is now their Financial Aid Specialist.

Jim has assisted at Torrey Pines HS with their Junior/Senior AVID class and San Dieguito Academy HS with all Seniors for FAFSA completion, Award Evaluations, and Appeal Letters since 2009.

Mr. Lundgren is a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC), the American College Counselors Association, the Western Association of College Admissions Counselors (WACAC), and CASFAA’s High School Relations Committee. He was nominated for a Special Recognition Award and presented “The Pros and Cons of 529s” at the 2010 CASFAA Conference.

Jim is the Southern California Regional Representative of the American College Planning Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors of the National College Advocacy Group, and a member of the American School Counselors Association and the California Association of School Counselors.

Mr. Lundgren was recently named to the ACT’s Counselor Advisory Panel.
